Thank you for visiting MyMojo Style. My name is John Phillip, I’m a Professional Wardrobe Stylist + Style Coach. A sense of style is in my DNA. During my 14+ year career in publishing, my style became a strong component of my personal brand through various public-facing roles. I became a style influencer in my professional community as people began to come to me for style advice, to shop with them, and were inspired to dress like me.

“Fashions fade, style is eternal”

Several years ago, friends recognizing my talent encouraged me to consider starting a personal styling business. They said they would not hesitate to pay me to style their partners. This was the inspiration for MyMojo Style which launched in 2019. MyMojo Style allows me to share my keen sense of style and creativity in fashion with others. Mojo happens to be my nickname and by definition speaks to influence, confidence, and personal charisma. A magic power. A quality that attracts people to you, makes you successful, is full of energy, and allows you to show up as your best self in the world. The business name is befitting of what happens organically in the process of empowering my clients.

In June 2022 I graduated from Pivot School’s Business of Personal Styling intensive course. I’m committed to continual development in the field to stay an expert and be the very best for my clients. One of my clients recently shared that having me as his personal stylist was life-changing and added value to his life. That’s the essence of MyMojo Style, helping people not only externally, but internally. It’s what I will do for you. This work is joyful for me, and I will pour my heart and soul into bringing out your signature style, your best self.

The way I approach styling is summed up in a famous quote by the iconic fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, “Fashions fade, style is eternal”. Style is wearing fashion on your terms. It’s not so much what you wear, but more importantly how you wear it. This is the space I operate from when working with clients. This is where a Professional Wardrobe Stylist + Style Coach comes in.
